The Catawba Riversweep is one-day-a-year when citizens from all over the Catawba-Wateree River Basin come together to clean up the basin’s waterways on the same day. On Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 9 AM to 12 PM, thousands of neighbors come together at dozens of sites from Lake James to Lake Wateree and everywhere in between.
Join us on Lake Wylie! Through this annual event, hundreds of volunteers remove tens of thousands of pounds of trash in one morning to make our Lake Wylie cleaner and safer.
On Lake Wylie, sites include:
- Paw Creek: The Vineyards
- McDowell Nature Preserve (currently full)
- Tailrace Marina
- Riverside Marina
- Gaston Wildlife Club
- Anchored Soul
- Buster Boyd Boat Ramp
- Tega Cay Marina
- Allison Creek Access Area
- River Hills Marina
- Nivens Creek Landing
- Catawba River Access: Lake Wylie Dam
Visit https://catawbariversweep.org/volunteer/ to sign up for one of these sites, and we look forward to seeing you out there!
